MUCH ADO ABOUT MAXIS IN THE FALL

I love the summer for many reasons: The warm sand and sea, yoga outside on the grass and maxi dresses galore. Just because fall has graced us with its presence, doesn’t mean I have to rule out all my favorite parts of summer. Although I can’t do yoga outside every day, I love my Core Power Yoga membership which always has me feeling toasty. I’ve also figured out ways to repurpose my maxi dresses to their maximum potential.

Yep, that’s right keep flaunting your flowy maxi dresses with booties underneath. I especially love wearing knit cardigans and cocoon sweaters with skirts in the fall, so why not layer your favorite jumpers over your favorite maxi dresses? Autumnal layering is a necessity as the days get colder, and I especially love embracing all my dark colors. Be careful you don’t layer too much, otherwise you’ll look like an actual cocoon or grandma. Some sweaters are too bulky for any trim maxi dress to handle.

I took one of my favorite Free People maxi dresses and layered in with black leotard for warmth. Then, I added the most important part of an outfit: The Leather! I am obsessed with leather, so I obviously topped my maxi dress off with my old-school, worn Express leather jacket and Henri Bendel Mini Crossbody. I think that any booties or over-the-knee boots would look great with a maxi dress! The other upside to my flowy, Free People dress was it has a low back and tassels for when you want to steal the attention of the room. The dusty rose color is also trendy, but timeless!
